Transformers movie reviewed
I am among the first few autobots in the world to catch the Transformers on screen. When I say few, i meant at least a billion. The world is made up of gajillions of autobots and decepticons so a billion is considered few. Anyway, the movie didn’t disappoint me. Bugs was probably the unluckiest person today with food, he got a few strands of hair in his extreme latte and a piece of wood (or sliced chicken bone) in his KFC fish fillet. The movie is action packed, comedy in the beginning, and full blown battle towards the end. It’s pretty much like Terminator 3 to me, only that it’s better (to me at least). Sad to say the story is shallow, and it ended quite abruptly. The Transformers battle scenes are obscured by lousy camera angles done on purpose. It is very difficult to see who’s hitting who, and who got hit by what and wa cha cha. All those glaring metal parts don’t help either. Don’t leave the hall as soon as you see the credits rolling. Just wait until you see a Transformers “running away” and you are permitted to leave by almighty me. I am a huge fan of Star Scream. Ya, I know he’s the bad guy and stuffs, but the way he transform is uber coooooool. Too bad he didn’t get much screen time (voice especially). He got scolded by Megatron for no utter reason. And if you watch Transformers (the cartoon) before, you might have guessed that he is the one running away, like always (the directors managed to show the coward, or cunning side of him). The ending didn’t strongly hint a second movie, though the open-ended style points to a possibility of a continuation.
Overall, I give this movie a 7.5 out of 10. Not super duper, but not bad either. A must watch if you are a Transformers fan. If you are not, heck just go watch because it is one of the biggest movie blockbuster this summer.
