Where will I be in a year’s time
TK gave me something to ponder about yesterday. I have played with the thought about working in Australia before, but never this serious. It really petrifies me that I might be leaving Malaysia, my family & my close friends for an extended period of time. Should I take up ACCA, I will almost certainly still be here this time next year. I am now considering whether to join the workforce or go for ACCA after I graduate this coming May. Based on the Australia point system, after graduate it will be easy for me to obtain a PR status there. I cannot recall clearly what TK has told me but what I remembered is that I need a minimum of 120 points to get a PR. It sounds easy to go there work and earn roughly 3 times the pay here (after exchange rate conversion) but believe me, deciding on this is actually very hard. Of course, first things first, I need to graduate, TK needs to establish a “base” and I need to confirm a job placing there before flying over to down under. If everything goes well, I will be crunching numbers with the kangaroos in a year or two’s time.
